LEARNING OBJECTIVES

We will focus on integrating the pause into business, public service, or social impact. In practical terms, this year, we wish to support leaders at critical moments in their careers who want to:

1. Introduce evidence-based strategies for expanding team capacity for greater discovery, diagnosis, and contingency;

2. Assess, recalibrate, and pivot with confidence, OR

3. Create consistent milestones for respite and fortification in planning and operation

Our theme this year explores defining a perpetual sabbatical. We will emphasize developing collective rituals to establish disciplined practices and cultures to support it.

GOAL

Our goal is for Mavens to feel more confident in achieving social impact and asserting greater agency over their professional practice. Maven Leadership Cohort is a gateway to career-long professional development including, collaborative learning, executive coaching, relationship-building, well-being activities, and catalytic sponsorships.

THRIVING

MAVEN LEADERSHIP COLLECTIVE

Maven Leadership Collective is a social impact ideas lab for queer and trans leaders of color and our allies who shift culture, unlock creativity, and reimagine antidotes for collective futures. We are an increasingly vital, free community resource that contributes new ideas, immersive learning experiences, and welcoming health opportunities for grassroots leaders in the arts, health equity, civic engagement, and economic independence. Maven creates ecosystems of support for our leaders to build just communities with greater ease, agency, and belonging. Maven has nourished greater social expressions of civic care and unlocked professional creativity in South Florida since 2016 with ongoing offerings in Orlando, Raleigh/Durham/Chapel Hill and New York.

FAQ

Applicants with significant autonomy, including decision-making, scheduling, and budgeting, tend to avail themselves of the resources and opportunities most successfully.

Mavens receive professional development support at no cost to them. We wish to encourage participation at all income levels. We are grateful to Mavens who “pay it forward” in their support of Mavens and by advancing the Maven community.
