Some funders require that a portion of the budget be allocated to data collection/analysis. This requirement helps to ensure that data is collected in a research-based method. If the funder does not allow administrative costs or data costs, then it can impact how much measurement can be completed.

          • What are the centers of power, and how is power wielded and distributed throughout the organization? The President and the Board are centers of power. Some power is allocated to the leadership- Executive Director, HR, and Accounting.

              • At what point in your practices and processes is impact measurement contemplated, designed, and integrated? During a 3-year strategic planning process, we defined “increased youth economic mobility” as a core outcome and linked it to career placement, income growth, and credential attainment. Our programs have a built-in structure that includes baseline skill assessments, milestone tracking, and participant feedback from the outset.
