Maven Moves and Maven Vibes are free in-person and digital community movement and meditation series that celebrate all bodies unapologetically.

Our goal is to inspire joy and to move in our bodies so that we may reclaim healthy choices for our lives in order to thrive as change agents in our community.

This platform is offered at no charge. We hope that it encourages you and those you care about to engage with us as often as it makes sense for you.

Introduction to Yoga Poses and Breath

In your yoga practice, you will find that each sequence is made up of a series of poses called asanas. The more you are able to find confidence in each asana, the more you will find benefit from your practice. Similarly, when you embark on your yoga practice, you will find that your breath is one of the most powerful and crucial tools in your arsenal to get correct. It can make a difference in whether or not you have a successful practice. So, take the time to refine your form with these short videos breaking down specific asanas and how to manage your breath.  Translations are available in Spanish and Haitian Kreyòl for these breakdowns.
